Echo peeled off the coat she’d grabbed on the way outside, happy to be in normal clothing now. The baggy sweater came up to her knees, basically, but that didn’t stop her from wearing fuzzy leggings and cozy boots. She loved warmth, especially when it was so horrendously chilly outside. “You’re so… domestic,” she said with a tender smile, watching him boil the water. She was so glad he was comfortable in her house, since he more or less made it his own sometimes, along with Lyanna. “Ah, that’s what’s awful about living in the rural parts of New York,” she murmured, shrugging her shoulders. “Oh, you have a cut.” She walked forward, eyes rolling at his shit-eating grin. “I made half those for you, y’know, so take as many as you’d like.” Licking her thumb, she slid it across the small cut on his forehead. “I’d love to shift with you one day and just romp around,” she admitted, pulling her hand away.
The word made him lift his eyebrows and pause, somewhat shocked. Him? Domestic? He’d never really thought of himself as such. He just tended to settle in pretty easily. Life on the road helped with that. “Funny. Most people would call me… I dunno, fidgety. Cause I never stay in one place for long, you know?” He finished the cookie and leaned back against the counter, watching her with bright blue eyes. As she wiped the excess blood from his cut, he winced at the sting of it, but didn’t jerk back. He was kind of used to it by now. “You know, I was born as an animal. Being a human is something I had to get used to, and it’s uncomfortable anyway sometimes.”
Pro Tip for Roleplayers:
Right now, a lot of you are getting that god-awful grey box in place of your gifs and icons. After using the image upload option, go into HTML editor and add an s after the HTTP of the image URL and put a 31. in front of the media in place of what’s there, or if nothing’s there, you shouldn’t get the grey box. Example.
as opposed to this.
"Someone’s been sel-fiiish,” she sang out playfully, her eyes glinting brightly. She looked like a snow angel, truly, all golden hair and bright blue eyes. Though, she’d rather it be summer. “I guess it couldn’t hurt,” she answered, her voice joyful as she glanced back at him, his familiar features and the smile that she knew well. “Brat.” Chuckling, she pulled away and tugged on his wrist, leading him towards the doors and sliding past them easily. “Thank Goddess,” she sighed, as the warm air hit her. “So, are you going to tell me why you happened to be au natural in my backyard?”
He rolled his eyes at her and shook his head, but there was a grin on his face. Once he was pulled inside, he rubbed up and down his arms to warm them a little more and shook his body to help get his blood pumping again. Immediately he headed for the kitchen and filled the kettle with water, then set it to boil. It was as if the house was his own, seeing as he was so comfortable inside. “Hikers,” he replied as he pulled two mugs out of a cabinet, “I thought I’d go for a walk as a mountain lion, only mountain lions don’t live around here. So I fled past them and shifted into my human form to avoid being shot as, like, a snow hare.” At that moment he spotted a holiday cookie on a platter and grabbed it, taking a bite with a smile.

"Not exactly!" she protested weakly, her voice shaking just a bit on the ends. Due to the cold, of course. Only the cold. She smirked and rolled her eyes at that last comment. "Give me your self confidence, please." She had plenty, sure, but none whatsoever compared with Karmichael’s. The boy truly did not give half a damn either way. When she felt his arms around her, she almost jumped, afraid he was still naked. Feeling the denim of the jeans, she relaxed, leaning into his embrace. "Quite terribly, actually," she let herself admit.
"I can’t, I need it too." He needed all the confidence he could get. A life like his didn’t come with cherries on top. "But you can just stick by me and I’ll shower you in compliments. Maybe that’ll help." A sincere smile, and he leaned his chin lightly on her shoulders. His torso was still bare, but she was incredibly warm so the chill was only in his back now. "I knew it. Come on, let’s go inside so I can get us warm."

The moment he spoke, she knew the boy wasn’t getting his pants on anytime soon. While she’d admit it may have been tempting to sneak a peak, she tried to remain strong here. “Not insulted! Just a tad bit offended,” she called back to him teasingly. At this point, it was far too difficult for her to stifle her laughter. Karmichael just… got her. Grinning sideways, the girl shook her head. “I’m sure you look lovely, and I’m sure my neighbors are enjoying the view as well.”
"That means the same thing!" He pointed out, crossing his arms over his chest then and raising an eyebrow. The comment about the neighbor’s didn’t faze him at all. "Eh, let them see," he replied with a casual shrug that she couldn’t see. Deciding he was cold enough now, he slipped the jeans up his legs and buttoned up, before walking over and giving her a chilly hug from behind. "You missed me, I know it."
"… I should be more surprised by this."
But she isn’t. Because even though it is winter, and it is freezing outside right now, this is Karmichael. And Goddess, has Karmichael done stranger things before. She hasn’t seen him in some time, so maybe she should be more startled, but she merely waves her hand through the air, letting a pair of jeans appear in front of him. “I’ll turn around,” she says through a sigh, turning her body and covering her eyes.
He grinned from ear to ear as the jeans appeared in front of him. Being friends with a witch has certainly worked out well for him. Being in love with one… well, yeah it’s been complicated. “Are you insulted by my body?” Karmichael asked, spreading his arms out as if to display himself further. He could spare a few more seconds in the freezing cold for this. “I think I look pretty damn good.”
